Bauman’s Cedar Valley Farms
Bauman’s Cedar Valley Farms, an organic small family farm in Garnett, Kansas, wanted to create a GMO-free grain storage co-op that would grind and sprout the necessary grains, and store and supply them not only to Cedar Valley, but to other small farms in the area. The Bauman’s have run the farm since 2001, when husband and wife John and Yvonne Bauman decided to leave the family retail home furnishing business, buy 180 acres and become farmers. Today, they, along with their six children, including Rosanna, and two spouses, run an enterprise where they raise pastured poultry and 100% grass-fed beef, and operate a USDA-approved poultry processor.
Using the funds and momentum from her Beetcoin win, Rosanna Bauman quickly raised an additional $180,000 from local investors. “This never would’ve happened without Beetcoin and Slow Money.”
