Michael was the associate director of Investors’ Circle from 2002 to 2008. Michael previously worked with The Carter Center’s Global Development Initiative, SustainAbility in London, and Park Pride in Atlanta, where he taught urban gardening to underprivileged children. Michael holds a B.A. from Emory University, completed the General Course at the London School of Economics and earned his M.B.A. at Northeastern University. He and his wife Evangeline live in Maine, and have two children, Scarlet and Opal.

Before joining Slow Money in 2013, Kyle was a senior content strategist for a digital agency, where he worked with Envirofit, a nonprofit project that develops technology to enhance energy efficiency in developing countries. Kyle has worked numerous roles at the intersection of local economics and tech, including a position with Minneapolis start-up Sprout, an online gateway to help local consumers connect with local and sustainable merchants in their communities.
